Traditional Korean snacks

I just bought some old-school Korean snacks! While they are hard to find in regular supermarkets or convenience stores these days, you can still spot them being sold from trucks or at traditional market stalls.

• Oranda (오란다): These are crunchy snacks made by sticking small, round grain puffs together with grain syrup or honey. They have a perfect balance of a crunchy and sticky texture.

• Buttering (버터링): A classic Korean cookie known for its soft, rich butter flavor. It’s incredibly smooth and melts in your mouth.

• Ginger Crackers (생강과자): These crackers have a distinct, spicy-sweet ginger aroma. They are usually firm and crispy, often coated with a fine layer of white sugar powder on the outside.
