My Local Favorite: Jjin-ppang Steamed Buns! 🥟

Picked up jjin-ppang (찐빵) from my neighborhood mandu (dumpling) shop—absolute fave! If you love Korean mandu, this is a must-try classic snack.

What’s jjin-ppang? Literally “steamed bread”—soft steamed buns filled with savory mandu stuffing (pork, veggies, just-right salty umami). The melt-in-your-mouth fluffy dough + familiar dumpling flavors = perfection!

Two flavors:

  1. Meat version: Juicy pork + veggie filling (salty umami perfection)
  2. Kimchi version: Fermented kimchi kick w/ tender pork

That pudding-soft texture (bu-deul-bu-deul(부들부들)) makes every bite heavenly. Traditional Korean treat that’s timeless.

Today’s snack rec: Jjin-ppang! Have you tried it?
