Japchae was the star of this meal. I also had pajeon, kimchi, seaweed, and miyeok-guk, but the japchae was so tasty that I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Come to think of it, I’ve eaten japchae, a traditional New Year food, several times during the Lunar New Year holiday.
