I visited Tongin Market in Seoul. Unlike other markets, it offers a unique experience called the Yeopjeon Lunchbox Experience. Visitors first purchase traditional coin-shaped tokens, then choose their favorite dishes from various side dish shops inside the market to create their own personalized lunchbox.
You can taste a variety of Korean side dishes such as tteokbokki, jeon (Korean pancakes), japchae, bulgogi, and kimchi. There are also items like oil tteokbokki, handmade side dishes, traditional Korean sweets, rice cakes, and fish cakes. The food may not be flashy, but it’s neat, home-style, and very comforting. In particular, oil tteokbokki is a famous specialty of Tongin Market.
Tongin Market is also conveniently located near Gyeongbokgung Palace and the Seochon area, making it a great spot for a walking tour. It’s a place where you can experience traditional Korean food and culture all at once. I highly recommend visiting Tongin Market!

Really nice post! Haven't been to Tongin Market yet but the lunchbox system looks cool, and now I really want to try that oil tteokbokki 😊
