Tteokguk on New Year’s Day—Growing a Year Older One Bowl at a Time!

So I just had the best tteokguk yesterday! My family always throws dumplings in ours, but this year we went all out—kimchi dumplings AND meat dumplings. Honestly, it hit different.

In Korea, there’s this whole thing where eating tteokguk on New Year’s Day means you’re officially a year older. 😄 If you haven’t tried it yet, you gotta give it a shot. It’s like the perfect comfort food to start the year off right. Warm, hearty, and just straight-up delicious.

Have you guys had your tteokguk yet? 🍜
