I tried Gwangju-style duck soup for the first time. It was a completely new dish for me!
It’s a soup made by simmering duck meat with ingredients like radish, green onions, perilla seed powder, gochujang or chili flakes, and garlic.
The soup had a very rich and deep flavor, and I could really taste the nuttiness from the perilla seeds. It was also pleasantly spicy and warming, which I think is a flavor many Koreans would enjoy.
It seems to be a dish that people often eat as a nourishing or restorative meal.😊
